Kakoli Saha - Head of Institute and Mentor
Kakoli is a passionate music teacher trained on Hindustani classical music and Rabindrasangeet. She has been associated with these genres of music since she was a child and have gained certifications from both Allahabad and Chandigarh music academy.
She has travelled to several places around the world and mentored students - both in professional institutes and privately. This institute is a long time dream for her to take the rich music from Bengal to various parts of the world. She has performed in various public forums in India, Spain and the UK.
Shirsho Roy - Principal teacher (Hindustani Classical, Modern and Folk songs)
Shirsho Roy is a postgraduate in vocal music from Rabindra Bharati University and B.Ed. from the University of Calcutta. He is a versatile performer, has won several scholarships and a number of prestigious awards viz. All India Radio Music Competition (Year 2001), Rajya Sangeet Academy Music Competition (Year 2006, 2007, 2008), Doverlane Music competition and so on.
Shirsho is the founder director of ' Suroranjany Music Academy' based out of Kolkata and is also a guest lecturer of Rabindra Bharati University.
He has worked as a playback singer in various movies and mega serials including the movie 'Aro Ekbar' that has been nominated for Boston FIlm festival. The film 'Dasein' have won the International Film festival and 'Gopon' has won the Best Film award in Delhi film festival.
Arena Mukherjee - Principal teacher (Rabindra Sangeet)
Arena Mukherjee is one of the leading vocal artists of Bengal whose musical performances have touched the heart of people in India and abroad. She is a M.A. (Gold medalist) in Rabindra Sangeet from Rabindra Bharati University. She has performed in Doordarshan and All India Radio apart from various TV channels and FM channels.
Arena has coached a large number of students and is an external of Rabindra Bharati University.
She has been a lead playback singer of a number of well known movies and mega TV serials. She performs every year at Jorasanko Thakurbari Prangan as part of of Rabindranath Tagore's birth anniversary celebration.
